Abstract

|
A rare case of neurofibromatosis type 1 is presented. Asymmetrical hypertrophy of bone, elephantiasis neurofibromatosa and its resultant peripheral weakness of involved limb were found. Computed tomography (CT) showed the extent of the disease,
which
represented a crossed sectional image of the multiple enlarged neurofibromatosis along the left sciatic nerve, tibial nerve and sural nerve. Histopathologic studies of the resected specimens well correlated with CT findings.
